Well the year is closing
and there is talk of the 2011 season. It is looking it could turn out
to be a very good year. With all of GC Racing cars now packed up for
the winter and a list of jobs to do, means they shall be out in force
for 2011. 425 is race ready, but 465 needs a new engine and 485 needs
a good new sub frame.
So it now time to relax
as Griffin goes down under for some sunnier climates
Further to Mark competing
in Europe and taking the 3rd spot on the podium in Belgium he has had
to sit out the remaining of the year due to a complication when his
car was being unloaded in Holland. That being his had got broken. No
sympathy for the lad as it was all self induced. This however did not
take the shine off the weekend as he was able to watch from the side
line.
The Entertainer Clark was
full of his old tricks by turning up at the campsite in Holland with
the engine still in pieces and not in the Engine. But that was soon
changed and the engine got built in nice clean, dust free environment.
Race day came for him to bed the engine in and practice saw a happy
Mr Clark. He had put all the right bits in the right place. However
heat 1 saw a problem and his carburetor problem returned. This was fixed
but he had to sit out heat 2.
So the Entertaining was
fired up for Heat 3 and he put a great show and once again lost his
front end due to not slowing down through the chicane. The final came
and he started on the 3rd row but managed to make up some positions
until the tight hair pin came and lost control of the car due to a minor
tap from the rear. This unfortunately put him out of the race. John
Thacker took his 3rd win at the Eurocircuit.
15th May 2010 -
2 Races down 5 to Go.
Griffin entered Round 4
last weekend at Bylton leaving Clark to Celebrate his Fathers Birthday.
27th February 2010
2010 will see the GC Racing
team drop the number of cars it will be running. The calenders for the
MDA and the Super Series have been released, however due to work commitments
and family life 2010 could see for the first time in 6 years no Championship
Challenges for the 2010 MDA Edwarde Bros Clubmans or the Green and Whites
Super Mini's. Some of this has been down to the very challenging times
seen in 2009.
