GC racing consists of Mark
Griffin Driving Car No 1 (425), Ian Clark Driving Car No 2 (485).
Chris Cairns will not be
driving the teams third car (463) due to forecoming nuptials to Mark
Griffins Cousin Ellie Gee.
After purchasing the ex
Andy Lee, Revivals built Mini half way through 2008 season, Mark spent
most of the year holding second place in the Championship, before cruel
luck deprived him at the final double header weekend of the year at
Croft Circuit, dropping him down to fourth place in the points standings.
2009 was not much better when he was leading the championship early
doors but went into the final round at croft and suffered similar cruel
luck to 2008, which saw him remove to engines from 2 race cars to end
up the day in 6th and onto hold onto 3rd in the whole of the championship
for 2009.
The second car in the team
is driven by Ian Clark, which was built from an ex Trevor Stretch Mini.
The condition he had to work with to build the car warrants a medal
for what he has achieved.
Chris Cairns was driving
the teams third car in 2008 and 2009 season, where we saw him finish
8th and 11th respectively in the championship.
